Database Management for Cash Operations

Commercial cash operations generate large amounts of cash-processing-related data. The CIM™ software suite’s database application – CIM-DBMS™ – provides unique, comprehensive and cost-effective database functionality that ensures secure storage of and access to the data organizations require for enterprise management.

Transaction table for efficient interfacing with host systems
Name and Address table for detailed information on customers and locations to be processed
Order table for details about all orders, including manual orders, released orders, standing orders, VRU and Web orders

These can be installed in any combination.

Offers flexible database connectivity:

Any ODBC database manager, version 3.x or higher

This almost always means you can use your existing database to interface with CIM-DBMS rather than purchasing a new database system.

Supports up to 20 users at one vault or cash office location on a single connection:

Configured properly, CIM-DBMS requires only one license for up to 20 users at a single location. (Database management systems are typically priced according to the number of simultaneous users. Twenty cash vaults or cash offices with 25 users each, for example, would pay for 500 users.)

The CIM application takes care of all prioritizing, query construction, etc. By using a tier-style architecture, CIM combines and prioritizes operations as they move up through each level. This results in faster, more efficient updating of the database.

Supports a three-level network backup scheme during network downtime:

If the network breaks between the PC and its local server, updates are stored locally on the PC
If the connection between local server and the database server goes down, the transactions are stored on the local server
If the database server goes down, transactions are stored automatically on the local server under the control of the ODBC driver.

When the network comes back online, transactions are uploaded normally.
